Prelab Setup

Open incoming VPN firewall ports

1. Login to DM1 as the administrator if necessary.
2. Type control into the Type here to search field
3. Select the Control Panel app
4. Click System and Security
5. Click the Allow an app through Windows Firewall link
6. Put a check mark in the box to the left of the Routing and Remote Access app
7. Put check marks in the Domain, Private and Public boxes to the right of the Routing and Remote Access app
8. Click OK
9. Close the Control Panel

4. Step Replacement: Replace the step as written in the book with the following:
   1. Sign onto ServerSA1-yourinitials as the administrator
   2. Right click the Start menu
   3. Choose Network Connections
   4. Click Change adapter options
   5. Right-click Ethernet
   6. Click Disable
   7. Close the Network Connections window

5. Step Replacement: Replace the step as written in the book with the following:
   1. Right click the Start menu
   2. Choose Network Connections
   3. Click VPN
   4. Click + Add a VPN connection

8. Step Replacement: Replace the step as written in the book with the following:
   1. Right click the Start menu
   2. Choose Network Connections
   3. Click Change adapter options
   4. Right-click TestVPN
   5. Click Status
   6. Click Details
   7. Take a screen shot, label it a6-1.jpg ( Example ) and upload it to the class web site
   8. Click Close twice
